Chipotle Pepper Beef Stew

There was an interesting chipotle pepper recipe over at the Cattle Network website today. It is an unusual beef stew / braise with chipotle pepper powder in it. The beef stew is then served over roasted butternut squash.

While the recipe only calls for chipotle powder I can images that using chipotles in adobo sauce would be a great addition and give the stew some added smokiness and heat.
